Part-Time Spanish Teacher

Position: Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Hourly Rate: $25/hour
Schedule: Tuesdays, 8:30–10:00 AM and Fridays, 10:00–11:30 AM. 2 hours/week of prep time on your own schedule
Start Date: First day of school, August 31
Class Size: Fewer than 5 students

Position Overview

We are seeking a thoughtful, flexible, and student-centered part-time Spanish teacher to teach a small mixed-level Spanish class. The class includes students working at approximately Spanish II and Spanish III levels, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable differentiating instruction within a small group setting.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who enjoys working closely with students, building confidence in language learning, and creating a supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish on Tuesdays from 8:30–10:00 AM and Fridays from 10:00–11:30 AM

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons appropriate for a small mixed-level class

• Differentiate instruction for students working at Spanish II and Spanish III levels

• Support students in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and cultural understanding

• Provide clear expectations, encouragement, and feedback

• Maintain a positive, respectful, and organized classroom environment

• Communicate student progress as needed with school leadership and families

• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Spanish at the middle school and/or high school level

• Ability to differentiate instruction for multiple levels in one class

• Strong Spanish language skills

• A warm, patient, and encouraging teaching style

• Comfort working with a very small class of fewer than 5 students

• Reliability and strong communication skills

Compensation

This is a part-time hourly position paid at $25 per hour, 5 hours/week.
